CRASH

The new year started with a CRASH at our house! The crash was the sound of the side of Tag's crib falling off. It wasn't terrible, but yes he did fall out and there were two small bruises to prove it. Tag's crib was my crib, therefore it is 30 years old. My dad built it for me and my observation is that it might be better suited for a girl, not a rough little boy!

The reason it crashed was that Tag has taken to grabbing the edge and slamming himself down which causes a little bounce which he seems to enjoy. Well come to find out that after doing that many times it caused the leg to bow and therefore make the pins that hold the side up to not be long enough. Tag was awake and B.J. was right outside the door going in to get him when the crash occurred so he rescued Tag really quick. I however was in the shower and when I heard the crash jumped out dripping wet to go get Tag because I thought B.J. was still asleep. The crib is fixed for now (and we plan to bolt the side on). Needless to say it was a rough start to 2009!
