Recap: Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend sure seemed to fly by. It was action packed for all 3 of the Roberts. Here is a recap.

On Saturday morning the 3 of us went to the Farmers Market. Something we haven't gotten to do together since I started Bootcamp in July. After that we rushed home to get ready to head to Stillwater for the big game. B.J.'s mom "Gaia" came to watch Tag while we went to Stillwater. From what we hear Tag had a great time playing with Gaia, taking Maddie on walks, and even napping on the floor of his room.

While Tag was having fun with Gaia we were having an awesome time cheering the Cowboys on to victory over Georgia. It was a great season opener and so much fun to see all the orange clad fans!

Sunday we headed to church. It was promotion Sunday and Tag got to go to a new Sunday School class. He was reunited with some of his buddies and even got to eat a donut hole. They must have asked him if he needed to go "pee pee in the potty" a lot because he asked to do it all day... which was exhausting since he does not have the concept of what that means. We had a fun afternoon at home... until it was nap time. I put Tag down and he was almost asleep, but I guess he was rolling around and talking (which is normal) and stuck his leg out the crib and got it stuck. So that resulted in no nap as I couldn't get him to calm down after that. So we took a spur of the moment trip to the Goodwill and found a Thomas book in mint condition for a $1.

That evening we grilled steak fajitas, yum!

Monday we took it easy before heading out to Babies R Us to (finally) buy a jogging stroller. Sure hope that I can run and push it at the same time! In the afternoon B.J. power washed the deck, Tag napped and I ran a few errands.

That evening we headed to the Riverwalk to enjoy dinner for Pogie's birthday. The best part was walking around outside after dinner. It was such nice weather and Tag was the entertainment for everyone!

During dinner Tag enjoyed opening straw after straw after straw (Thanks Uncle Ray). He also thought that all of his straws would be good to drink out of. He put as many as seven at a time in his cup... he had a special treat and got to drink Sprite with his dinner. He thought it was so yummy.

Enjoy the pictures of our adventures below:

Tag enjoyed walking around, looking at the fountains and the water fountain.

Tag and the girls.

The video below shows a short glimpse of Tag showing off his moves. He made friends with another little boy and the two of them put on a show for everyone enjoying the live music. Try as he might he couldn't get any of us to dance with him.
