On Wednesday, we got a little bit of a late start... the shoes we had packed for Tag were borrowed and we found out after about 30 minutes of walking that he did NOT want to keep them on as he continued to pull them off and then remove his socks. Generally I wouldn't care, but it was 60 degrees outside. Luckily there was a Payless on the corner. So after our shoe purchase we caught a historic street car to Pier 39 to see the sea lions. We had lunch there (famous San Francisco sourdough) and then went on to look around Ghirardelli Square. Next, we thought we would just walk over to "crooked" Lombard Street, it was only 5 blocks.... of course it ended up being ENTIRELY UPHILL - while pushing a stroller. We had to take turns to get up there, but we finally made it... then of course we had to walk down Lombard Street. On Friday we rented a car and drover over the Golden Gate Bridge on our way to see the giant redwoods at Muir Woods. Tag really enjoyed Muir Woods because he got to walk a lot. As soon as we put him back in his stroller he fell asleep! Then we had lunch right on the water in Sausalito before heading back to San Francisco. When we got back to the city, we found a neighborhood playground at Alamo Square that gave Tag an chance to play on the slides and swings. That evening my parents watched Tag while B.J. and I rode a cable car back to the wharf so that we could have more yummy seafood.
On Saturday, our last day, B.J. and Pops headed to the Cable Car Museum while Gran and I took Tag shopping at Union Square. By noon it was time to check out of the hotel and head to the airport for our flight home.
We had a wonderful trip and have a ton of pictures to prove it!
