One day this week B.J. met us at Utica Square for our annual trip to Santa's house. I grew up going to see Santa in the very same teeny, tiny house that fits only Santa, Mrs. Clause & small children. Tag was super excited! We had to pass Santa's house a few times looking for a parking spot and he was so worried we wouldn't be able to find it again. He excitedly talked about what Santa would bring him as we waited our turn. For over a month he has been telling us that Santa is going to bring him a "Pillow Pet that is a Bumble Bee." We coached him on how to politely ask Santa for what he wanted. He sounded so confident... until he got on Santa's lap. Our chatter bug got much quieter, but he did speak up and tell Santa exactly what he wanted. Then Santa said "what else would you like for Christmas?" Tag was silent...we heard crickets... then Santa suggested, "how about Toy Story." Tag nodded his head in agreement and thanked Santa. As soon as we were out of the teeny tiny house, Tag excitedly told us that Santa would bring him a "Pillow Pet that is a Bumble Bee AND Toy Story." So, Santa had to make another trip to the store.
After visiting Santa we had a very special lunch with Daddy. We gave Tag a choice and he picked McDonald's. It was a very special time as Tag usually doesn't see Daddy during the work day (and neither do I for that matter). What a great way to get in the mood of Christmas!
